What is a Yard Greeting?

Yard Greetings are customized, lightweight, plastic stand-ups, jumbo letters, and numbers that are put on the lawn, in cubicles, or just about anywhere.  They are used for just about any conceivable type of occasion including:  Birthdays, Over the Hill Surprises, Graduations, Celebrations, Family Reunions, Company Picnics, Advertising/Promotions, Engagements, and more!  Yard Greetings are best used as rental items that are typically either picked up or delivered to the customer and setup.

How do I make money with Yard Greetings?

Yard Greetings are best used in a rental form.  This means that you would rent these out to people for a variety of occasions.  Some of these occasions include:

What do I charge my customers?

What you charge can vary from city to city and state to state.  In Michigan, we charge anywhere from $79 to $89 for our customers to pick them up for three days.  If we were to deliver the Yard Greeting, we would typically charge from $109 to $139 depending on the distance to the location.  Again, this greatly depends on what your market bears.

Do you have any multiple discount packages?

Yes.  Yard Arts, Inc. offers a variety of Starter Packages.  Getting into the Yard Greeting rental business can be as easy as buying a starter package.  Each starter package gives you at least the minimum number of themes to accommodate most events.  Each package also comes with "brought to you by" signs.  The signs are designed to be set up on the lawn along with the Yard Greeting.  This will give "people that drive by" the name of the company providing the Yard Greeting.  It is a great advertising tool!  We will also provide you with photos for your website and/or hi-resolution images for your printed brochures.  In addition, we can provide you with examples of coupon ads to advertise your new Yard Greeting rental business in your area.

What are the prices of the starter packages?

The Price of the starter packages are based on the individual themes you choose.  For example, if you were choosing to purchase a Value Package, our first question to you would be:  "Which themes would you like in your package?"  If you picked 5 themes, you would simply add the prices of the 5 individual themes together and that is the price of your package.  But, with those 5 (or whatever number you choose - refer to below), we will include, for FREE, the custom "brought to you by signs" that have your company name, phone number, and website so you can market your yard greetings.  We will also include, for FREE, a number pack.  Refer below for more info on the different starter package groups and what FREE items are included with them:

Value Package - Order 5 to 7 themes* and receive the same number of corresponding brought to you by signs for FREE, AND a number pack for FREE!

Deluxe Package - Order 8 to 11 themes and receive the same number of corresponding brought to you by signs for FREE, and 2 number packs for FREE!

Can I buy just letters or numbers individually, or do I have to buy the whole theme?

You can buy letters, numbers, stand-ups, stakes, and vinyl skins all individually, or you can buy the "Box 'O' Letters" or the "Box 'O' Numbers".  The "Box 'O' Letters" gives you 26 letters of the alphabet plus an additional 14 common letters for a total of 40 letters, H-stakes, wind supports, and a carrying case.  The "Box 'O' Numbers" comes with two of each number (20), H-stakes, wind supports, and a carrying case.  These can be purchased online by clicking here or by calling (877) 253-5200.

What is the size of the letters and standups?

The letters and numbers are approximately 23 inches tall (almost 2 feet!) and a variety of sizes wide (based on the letter).  The standups are different.  Balloons are 23 inches tall, but are used in conjunction with a full size step stake.  This gives the overall height of the balloon on the lawn of approximately 37 inches (over 3 feet!).  Records, smiley faces, insult faces, and golf balls are approximately 17.5 inches tall.  Character standups, like the elephant are roughly around 34 inches tall.  Some, such as the turtle, are around 24" tall, but approximately 34 inches wide.

Are the Letters Jagged or are they consistently cut?

All of the letters are machine cut!  You can be assured that each letter will look the same and the edges will be nice and smooth.

Is Yard Arts, Inc. the actual manufacturer of Yard Greetings and Fun Figures?

Yes.  Yard Arts, Inc. has two facilities that manufacture the Yard Greetings and the Fun Figures.  Both facilities are based in Michigan.

Can the Letters come in different colors?

Yes, there is a variety of colors that the letters come in.  Yellow is, however, the most visual color that we have experienced in our rental company.

Can the letters and/or standups withstand rain?

Yes, the letters and standups are made of a durable but lightweight corrugated plastic.

What are the standups, like the elephant, made of?

The standups are also made of corrugated plastic, but some of them have a laminated digitally printed 4-color process vinyl skin attached to the front of it.  This gives the standup a much more colorful and attractive look to it.  It is also weatherproof.

What does each theme come with?

Each theme comes with the necessary letters, numbers, and standups that form the theme.  In addition, each theme comes with its own labeled carrying/storage case, H-stakes, and wind supports.  For added customization, the Box 'O' Letters can allow names and virtually any saying to be displayed on the lawn.

What are Wind Supports and do I have to use them?

In cases of very high winds, wind supports can be used to help the swaying effect of the letters and standups.  It is simply a piece of metal (like the stake) that hooks into the top of the letter and goes into the ground behind the letter.  It isn't necessary unless there are high winds forecasted.

Can my customers pick up the themes?

Yes!  You can set it up for your customer, or have them pick it up!  The theme's come complete in its own carrying case and can but put in the trunk or backseat of a car.  It is lightweight and easy for your customer to handle.

Do I have to pull the stakes out each time I put the letters and characters in the box? 

No, the boxes are designed to fit the letters and characters with the stakes attached.  We suggest to remove any numbers from the packages to give some more room in the boxes.  You will simply grab the numbers that you need for that rental or delivery each time that package goes out.
